Irish singer-songwriter Brian Kennedy will headline a fundraising concert in aid of Sonas in the Gaiety Theatre on September 23rd. The event features a fantastic line-up of Irish and international performers, hosted by the International Charity Bazaar. Tickets from €17.15 each (including booking fee) can be purchased from Gaiety Theatre (Box Office: 0818 719388) or from Ticketmaster.
Brian Kennedy, originally from Belfast, is an internationally recognised performer who represented Ireland in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. He’s currently in spotlight as a coach on the hit TV show, The Voice of Ireland.
Kennedy will appear alongside Uilleann Piper, Pádraic Keane, the Alliance Fracaise choir, a New York tap dancer, a Russian soprano and Japanese pianist, among others.
The proceeds from the concert will be used to expand the hugely successful ‘Freedom Programme’, a powerfully effective course on the dynamics of domestic violence, offered to women in our service.
The International Charity Bazaar is an annual series of events run by the diplomatic community in Ireland to promote charities and cultural integration. Other charities involved include DeafHear, the Marie Keating Foundation, the Dun Laoghaire Refugee Project and the Jack and Jill Foundation.
